
Maxwell Daigh
Chief of Data, Accountability, and Portfolio
Maxwell Daigh serves as the Chief of Data, Accountability, and Portfolio for NOLA Public Schools, where he leads the district’s charter authorization and renewal, school accountability systems, unified enrollment, and data strategy. In this role, he is guiding the transition to Louisiana’s new Grow. Achieve. Thrive. accountability framework and spearheading efforts to ensure long-term sustainability of the city’s school portfolio so that every neighborhood has access to excellent schools. Max brings more than a decade of experience in education across classrooms, districts, state agencies, and nonprofits. He previously served as Louisiana’s Assistant State Superintendent of School Choice, where he expanded high-quality school options, secured a $55 million federal grant to launch new charter schools, and built stronger accountability systems statewide. He also served as Chief of External Affairs at New Schools for New Orleans, where he helped lead a citywide effort to increase teacher compensation and drive the organization’s advocacy strategy. Earlier in his career, Max worked in school performance and accountability at the Recovery School District, as Director of High School Accountability at NOLA-PS, and in advocacy and charter school leadership roles in California and Missouri. He began his career as a 6th grade teacher in Kansas City, an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to educational equity. Max holds a Master of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Tulane University.
