Special Board Meeting Via Teleconference, Orleans Parish School Board to Hear Charter Renewal Recommendations

WHAT/WHEN:

On Tuesday, December 8 at 5:30 PM, the Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) will hold a Special board meeting to consider the following:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and LSA-R.S. 47:1705(B) that a special public board meeting held by the administration of the Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) will be held virtually on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 5:30 PM to hear Charter Renewal recommendations and consider one action item on direct run school discipline policy.

This meeting will be hosted remotely via teleconference/video conference in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19 in New Orleans, and to preserve the health and safety of all members of the public. The OPSB will utilize the online platform Zoom to live-stream the public hearing, which will be open for the public to view online and participate.

TO PARTICIPATE ONLINE: The live stream of the OPSB Public Hearing will be available here beginning at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, December 8. To comment online, please submit a public comment card here, prior to the start of the meeting or within 30 minutes after the meeting begins. Please note the e-comment card link does not become active until 2 hours before the scheduled meeting. The meeting moderator will announce the speaker at the appropriate time. The speaker will self-identify with the "raise hand" feature at the bottom of the web page, and the meeting moderator will unmute the audio.
