NOLA Public Schools Releases Main Round of OneApp Results for 2021-2022 School Year

(NEW ORLEANS – April 7, 2021) – Today, NOLA Public Schools (NOLA-PS) released OneApp placement results for the 2021-2022 school year. Families can log-in and review those placement results by visiting: http://oneapp.force.com.

The OneApp is the centralized school enrollment application process for Orleans Parish public schools. OneApp provides students and families with the opportunity to apply to schools citywide, based on their child's unique needs and interests.

In this year's match, with 9,201 applications submitted,

  • 97% of sibling applicants were matched to their sibling's school.
  • 91% of applicants entering Kindergarten or 9th grade were matched to one of their top three choices.
  • 85% of applicants to NOLA PS schools were matched to a school on their application, with 82% receiving one of their top three choices.

The results continue to demonstrate our commitment to equitable access to school choice. Most students participating in the OneApp process have been placed in one of their top three school choices, in nearly every case our schools are able to admit siblings, and students entering Kindergarten or 9th grade are matched to schools they identify as a good fit. Over the last three years we have seen a significant increase in the ability to unify siblings, reaching 97% of siblings united this year.

"NOLA-PS empowers our families to select and apply to the schools that best meet the needs of their children through OneApp," said NOLA-PS Superintendent Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr. "While not every school has enough seats, we know that everyone's application was treated fairly. I remain committed to working towards providing options and expanding access within our district that meet the needs and interests of all of our students and families."

Families Still Seeking School Placement

K-12 families who still need a new school for next year should participate in the second round of OneApp, which opens Wednesday, April 14, 2021 and closes Friday, May 21, 2021. As always, the application process is online-only and available at www.EnrollNOLA.org. Families are strongly encouraged to apply to schools with remaining availability in their child's grade. Projected availability will also be available at www.EnrollNOLA.org, prior to Round 2 opening.

Superintendent Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr. reminds any family who needs a school for next year: "Don't wait until this summer to pick a school. It is so critical that we get all our future students enrolled and ready to learn as soon as possible. The Main Round was the first opportunity; Round 2 is the next opportunity. It's quick and easy: visit www.enrollnola.org starting next week to submit an application."

Families may access their application results by logging into their OneApp Parent Portal account at oneapp.force.com. If families need help accessing their OneApp results, they may contact the Enrollment Team via email at oneapp@nolapublicschools.com or at (877) 343-4773.
