NOLA-PS and InspireNOLA to Welcome Students Back to Campus at McDonogh 42 Charter School


WHAT: 

NOLA Public Schools (NOLA-PS) Superintendent Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr. and InspireNOLA CEO Jamar McKneely will welcome McDonogh 42 Charter School students back to campus Thursday, Sept. 17.


NOLA-PS announced in August that, since the City's health data was exceeding all health and safety criteria, the District would begin a phased return to in-person learning, beginning with PreK-4th grade students, starting Monday, Sept. 14th. Due to the threat of Hurricane Sally, the District delayed the start of in-person learning to Thursday, Sept. 17.


McDonogh 42 Charter School is part of the InspireNOLA Charter School network.


THIS IS A DISTRICT SANCTIONED MEDIA AVAILABILITY TO CAPTURE CONTENT OF THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. THIS IS THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY TO GATHER THIS CONTENT. THERE WILL BE NO ADDITIONAL RETURN TO IN-PERSON LEARNING MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES AT ANY DISTRICT SCHOOL. THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF IS OUR ABSOLUTE PRIORITY. FACE COVERINGS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES AND THERE WILL BE DESIGNATED AREAS FOR MEDIA TO STAND. MEDIA WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO GO INSIDE THE SCHOOL BUILDING.
