  • The overall Advanced achievement level has increased by 5 percentage points in ELA from 2005 to 2018.

  • The percent of students scoring mastery and above in math has increased by 21 percentage points in Orleans Parish.
  • 24 schools in buildings that have been continuously open since the storm have increased their Mastery/Advanced proficiency by 10 or more percentage points in 4th grade math. These same schools had an average increase of 15 percentage points.

*Proficiency is based on the standard set by the Louisiana Department of Education for that year.

Our high school graduation rates have increased at a rate that has far outpaced improvement by the rest of the state.
