(NEW ORLEANS – October 28, 2020) – With Hurricane Zeta moving inland earlier in the day than expected, New Orleans Public Schools are instructed to end distance learning by noon today to allow our school community to prepare for storm impacts. The safety of our students, their families, teachers, and staff is our top priority.

NOLA-PS central office will not be staffed after noon today, October 28th.

Due to the storm, food service will not be offered to families for pick-up Wednesday, October 28. Announcements will be made when they resume.

NOLA-PS will continue to monitor the storm and will reassess needs for extended closures, distance learning, or announce a return to in-person classes as we continue to learn more on the potential impacts to our area throughout the evening and tomorrow.

NOLA-PS reminds everyone to remain vigilant and to monitor the City’s announcements for updates regarding Hurricane Zeta. NOLA-PS will post all storm related announcements on its social media as well.
