STUDENT TRANSFER AND WITHDRAWAL
TRANSFER
A student already enrolled in an Orleans Parish School Board public school who wishes to transfer to another Orleans Parish School Board public school shall be required to submit an application for such reassignment through the citywide common enrollment process. If the student is assigned to a different school than the one the student currently attends, the student shall lose the guarantee to return to the student’s current school. In submitting an application for a transfer, the applicant consents to relinquishing their current school enrollment if the applicant is placed in another school.
WITHDRAWAL
Students shall be required to attend school in accordance with statutory provisions. Students may be permitted to withdraw from school, however, if approved by the Superintendent and School Board. Such withdrawal must be in accordance with such rules and regulations as may be prescribed by the School Board.
