FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

It shall be the policy of the Orleans Parish School Board that the acceptance of building construction be withheld until substantial completion is certified by the project architect. The architect and contractor shall notify the Superintendent at least fifteen (15) days in advance of final acceptance of the project, and School Board members shall be notified of this date and invited to view the construction before the final acceptance is issued.  Final acceptance shall not be made until all conditions of the construction contract have been met.

Once final acceptance is issued, the Superintendent shall notify the School Board at its next scheduled regular business meeting thereafter.
